Many meaningful activities kick off Youth Month 2020

Launching the "Young Fishermen Going to Sea" Club
Recognizing the importance of the sea and islands and the contribution of fishermen at sea, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union met with young fishermen at the People's Committee of Nghi Thuy Ward (Cua Lo Town).
Through the meeting, the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee promptly listened to and grasped the thoughts, aspirations and suggestions of young fishermen. From there, timely solutions were found to overcome difficulties, contributing to maximum support for young fishermen to stay at sea, maintain fishing grounds and help each other when developing the local economy.

In order to gather union members and young people in offshore fishing activities, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Cua Lo Town Youth Union launched the "Young Fishermen Going to Sea" Club..This is a model of linking activities between teams and groups of ships when participating in fishing in the fishing grounds to improve production efficiency and ensure safety during offshore trips. The club currently has 15 members who are union members and young fishermen.

Presenting national flags to fishermen going offshore, handing over entertainment spots
The Provincial Youth Union also organized a “Departure Ceremony and Presenting National Flags to Fishermen Going to Sea”. At the program, the delegation presented 500 national flags, 200 life jackets, 15 gifts, 100 youth union shirts, 10 medicine cabinets and medicines with a total value of over 100 million VND to members of the Young Fishermen Club going to sea and 10 households going to sea.
This is a meaningful activity to concretize the implementation of the 10th Central Committee's Resolution 4 on "Vietnam's sea and island strategy to 2020" and the 12th Central Committee's Resolution 8 on "Vietnam's sustainable marine economic development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045".

On the same morning, the Provincial Youth Union - Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held the inauguration and handover of the playground for children in Block 8, Nghi Thuy Ward (Cua Lo Town). Built since the end of February 2020, the integrated playground has an area of over 50m2, including many items serving entertainment for children in the area. The total value of the entertainment spot is 35 million VND from the support fund of the Provincial Youth Union, the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies, Cua Lo Town Youth Union and a part of socialized sources.

On the first day of Youth Month 2020, 100% of Youth Union units simultaneously organized a series of activities in response to the first Green Sunday of 2020; distributed more than 40,000 free masks and instructed people on Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control, and many other meaningful activities.
