Early allocation of capital to speed up the construction progress of Vinh-Cua Lo Boulevard

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters of Cua Lo town proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant sectors to speed up the construction progress of Vinh-Cua Lo Boulevard and the drainage system along the Lam River.

Regarding this issue, the relevant departments and agencies responded as follows:

On the construction progress of Vinh – Cua Lo Boulevard.

The Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard construction investment project is invested by Nghe An Department of Transport, approved in Decision No. 994/QD.UBND-CN dated March 3, 2010 and adjusted in Decision No. 1456/QD.UBND-CN dated May 2, 2012 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. The total length of the route is 10.8 km, the total investment is 4,157 billion VND.

Construction of the section Km7+775 - Km10+832 in Nghi Thach commune, Nghi Loc district and Cua Lo town has been implemented; the construction volume is estimated to reach 50% of the contract value.

Due to difficulties in arranging capital for the project (up to now, 552 billion VND has been arranged and has been fully disbursed, reaching 13.3% of the total investment value), the project is temporarily suspended. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is assigning the Department of Transport to coordinate with related departments to work with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance to soon arrange capital for the project.

About the project to build a drainage system along Lam River.

The project to build a road along Lam River from Cua Hoi to Nam Dan town with a main route length of 56km invested by Nghe An Department of Transport was handed over and put into use since 2009.

On August 19, 2008, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 6096/UBND.CN to supplement the drainage system at the foot of the slope in Nghi Hai ward (Cua Lo town) from Km3+184-Km3+860 to prevent flooding in the locality during the rainy and stormy season.

The sections that have been handed over to the contractor were completed in 2010. The remaining sections from Km3+200-Km3+295 and an electric pole cannot be constructed due to site clearance issues (total length of about 41m).

On October 31, 2015, the Provincial People's Committee approved the Economic-Technical Report on investment in the construction of an internal drainage system along the Lam River in Nghi Hai Ward (Cua Lo Town) and assigned the Town People's Committee to be the investor. Currently, the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town is completing investment procedures for bidding.
