Early completion and focus on traffic safety on route N5
(Baonghean.vn) - The N5 route connecting Hoa Son (Do Luong) to Nghi Thiet (Nghi Loc) is being gradually completed by construction units with the second layer of asphalt and other sub-items. After inspection, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units to focus on connecting the residential crossroads and the infrastructure system to ensure traffic safety on the route.

On the morning of June 2, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation inspected the construction and completion of the N5 route from Hoa Son, Do Luong to Nghi Thiet (Southeast Economic Zone). Also present were leaders of the Department of Transport and representatives of the People's Committees of Nghi Loc and Do Luong districts. |
The route connecting N5 Road of the Southeast Economic Zone to Hoa Son, Do Luong is 29.1km long with the scale of a level III plain road, 12m roadbed, 11m road surface. There are 2 construction packages on the route including the section from Km0 - Km15 and from Km 15 - Km 28+500.
This project was technically opened to traffic on April 30 with the completion of the first asphalt paving. Currently, the construction units are paving the second 11/29.1km. Up to now, the allocated capital is 736.5/1,265 billion VND, reaching 58% (project package 1 is 316.5 billion; project package 2 is 420 billion), the remaining capital is 528.5 billion VND.

Construction units also speed up the completion of connecting the residential level crossings. On the route, 304 residential level crossings have been connected to facilitate people's travel. However, there are still some routes that have not yet handed over the site and many sewer construction sites have not yet handed over the construction site.
The construction of the road to meet the schedule is thanks to the contractors' advance capital. Therefore, to complete the remaining small items, the transport sector requests the province to prioritize capital allocation. At the same time, it requests the People's Committees of Nghi Loc and Do Luong districts to complete the compensation dossiers for level crossings and sewer yards to hand over the site to the construction unit before June 15, 2017.

During the on-site inspection of the project, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien requested that relevant localities closely coordinate with the Department of Transport to hand over the site for the sub-projects. At the same time, the Department of Transport should strengthen supervision, ensure the quality of the project for long-term exploitation and focus on ensuring traffic safety on the route.
