Son Heung Min became the first Asian player to score 100 goals in the Premier League. The South Korean striker made history when he scored a superb goal in the 10th minute of Tottenham's 2-1 win over Brighton.
“Scoring 100 goals in the Premier League is a great achievement. I am really emotional because I have just gone through a difficult time. My grandfather passed away and it was a great pain. I want to dedicate this goal to him” – Son Heung Min shared after the match.
The 1992-born star hopes that his achievements will motivate Asian players: “I hope that all Asian players, especially Korean players, will have more motivation when looking at my achievements.
I am glad I took responsibility and set a positive example for the young players. I hope they will believe that Asian players can do great things in the Premier League.”

The 30-year-old striker also enjoyed complete joy on a historic day, when Tottenham defeated their direct competitors in the race to qualify for next season's European Cup.
After a 2-1 victory over Brighton, Son Heung Min and his teammates consolidated their 5th place in the Premier League with 53 points after 30 matches, 3 points more than Aston Villa and 3 points behind MU./.
