Son Heung Min became the first Asian player to score 100 goals in the Premier League. The South Korean striker made history when he scored a superb goal in the 10th minute of Tottenham's 2-1 win over Brighton.

“Scoring 100 goals in the Premier League is a great achievement. I am really emotional because I have just gone through a difficult time. My grandfather passed away and it was a great pain. I want to dedicate this goal to him” – Son Heung Min shared after the match.

The 1992-born star hopes that his achievements will motivate Asian players: “I hope that all Asian players, especially Korean players, will have more motivation when looking at my achievements.

I am glad I took responsibility and set a positive example for the young players. I hope they will believe that Asian players can do great things in the Premier League.”
