Song Lam Nghe An finalizes list of 27 domestic players
(Baonghean.vn) – Yesterday afternoon (December 25), the Nghe An football team sent the registration list for the 2017 season to the V.League Organizing Committee. Up to 4 goalkeepers were registered by SLNA and a series of players playing at other clubs were called back.
In the list of 27 players (without foreign players) of SLNA for the new season, Tran Nguyen Manh, Le Van Hung, Le Quang Dai and young goalkeeper Tran Van Tien take up 4 spots. The reason why SLNA’s coaching board had to add goalkeeper Van Tien to this initial list is because Le Van Hung – Nguyen Manh’s backup – has just had surgery for a meniscus injury and will need 2 months to be able to return to play.

Although veteran Van Vinh was retained, SLNA's midfield still did not have many reinforcements, except for Le The Cuong and Ngo Xuan Toan. Names like midfielder Dau Thanh Phong, Le Manh Dung, Nguyen Van Duc... had to accept to join other clubs on loan.
It is expected that on January 4, 2017, the 2 foreign players that SLNA selected during the trial period will be revealed.
