Song Lam Nghe An recommends VFF to improve referee quality
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of March 4, Song Lam Nghe An Club sent a petition to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after a controversial situation in the match against Nam Dinh in round 12.
On the evening of March 3, at Vinh Stadium, Song Lam Nghe An Club welcomed Nam Dinh Blue Steel in round 12 of V.League. Despite playing with one more player in the last 20 minutes of the match, Song Lam Nghe An still lost 0-1 to Nam Dinh Blue Steel.
Notably, the situation leading to the goal in the 5th minute of extra time caused a lot of controversy. VAR technology was used, the main referee said the goal was valid for Nam Dinh team. It is worth mentioning that in the previous play, the TV camera angle did not allow the audience to see whether Van Vi was offside or not. A lot of controversy broke out after the match, especially about the quality of television as well as VAR technology.
On the evening of March 4, Song Lam Nghe An Club announced that it had sent an official dispatch to the Vietnam Football Federation, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company - VPF; and the Organizing Committee of Vietnam National Professional Football Tournaments. This dispatch clearly stated:
"Song Lam Nghe An Club requests the Vietnam Football Federation, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company - VPF and the Organizing Committee of Vietnam Professional Football Tournaments as well as the VFF Referee Board to review and re-examine the offside or non-offside situation that led to the decisive goal of the match. And respond in writing to Song Lam Nghe An Club for information.
At the same time, Song Lam Nghe An Club has proposed to the Tournament Organizing Committee to take measures to improve the quality of recording, television as well as the quality of referees, the quality of VAR technology operation currently applied in V.League. From there, improve the quality of matches as well as National Championships to serve fans nationwide.

In addition, we hope that the Vietnam Football Federation, VPF Company and the Tournament Organizing Committee will pay more attention to the quality, accuracy and fairness of important decisions of the main referees and VAR in the current V.League.
