(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 22, VPF held a draw ceremony to schedule the 2023 National Cup. In the qualifying round, Song Lam Nghe An will face Quang Nam Club.
According to the tournament rules, 4 teams entered the semi-finals.National Cup2022 will go straight to the round of 16. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also randomly draw to select 3 more teams to go straight to this round.Lam River Nghe Anand the remaining 17 teams must compete in the qualifying round to select 9 teams to play in the round of 16. After the draw, Song Lam Nghe An will face Quang Nam in the qualifying round. If they pass this round, Song Lam Nghe An will face Topeland Binh Dinh in the round of 16.

The 2023 National Cup is scheduled to open on April 1, 2023 with the participation of 25 clubs, including: 14 clubs from V.League 1 and 11 clubs from V.League 2: Becamex Binh Duong, Cong An Ha Noi, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh City, TopenLand Binh Dinh, Viettel, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Hoa Binh, Hue, Long An, PVF-Cong An Nhan Dan, Phu Dong, Phu Tho, Quang Nam, Saigon. The 25 professional clubs will compete in a single-elimination format. After the end of 90 minutes of official play of each match, if the score is tied, the two clubs will compete in a penalty shootout to determine the winning club. The two semi-final winners advance to the final, while the two semi-final losers share third place.
Along with the National Championship and the National First Division, the National Cup is a tournament that fans look forward to because of the attractive nature of the competition format, containing many interesting surprises. The National Cup is considered the "door" for ambitious clubs to seek tickets to participate in Asian tournaments.
The prize money at the 2023 National Cup will double compared to the 2022 season. Accordingly, the teams will receive prizes as follows:
The Cup-winning club receives the Cup, Gold Medal, and a bonus of 2 billion VND;
Second prize club received Silver Medal, prize of 1 billion VND;
The two third-place clubs received Bronze Medals and a prize of 400 million VND.
