Song Lam Nghe An gives opportunity to captain of U19 Vietnam

After the departure of a series of pillars, Song Lam Nghe An added 8 young faces to the front line. Among them are 3 young central defenders: Le Thanh Lam (2000), Thai Ba Sang (1999) and Nguyen Ba Duc (1998). Currently, central defender Nguyen Ba Duc is playing for Hai Phong Club on loan.
And when Van Khanh cannot play, SLNA's coaching staff is considering giving Thai Ba Sang a chance even though the Nghe An team still has another central defender, vice-captain Pham The Nhat. Central defender Thai Ba Sang was born in Son Hai, Quynh Luu. He joined SLNA when he was only 12 years old and has been a prominent young face of SLNA over the years, along with teammates like Nguyen Ngoc Anh and Dang Van Lam. This is a young generation that is not considered to be really outstanding, but the failures in youth tournaments have helped them become much stronger.
In particular, Thai Ba Sang was called up to the Vietnam U18 and Vietnam U19 teams for 3 consecutive years. He was the captain of the team in the Southeast Asian tournaments, the 2017 and 2018 Asian Qualifiers under coach Hoang Anh Tuan.

Before returning to SLNA to participate in V.League 2020, Thai Ba Sang had 2 years playing for Pho Hien Club in the First Division on loan. As a center back with a moderate physique (1m76), but playing with passion and enthusiasm, SLNA's coaching board is expecting Thai Ba Sang to do well in his first time playing in the V.League arena.
