Ssangyong Tivoli priced at 630 million competes with Ford Ecosport

The small SUV model with a 1.6L engine, 6-speed automatic transmission and a selling price of 630 million VND will directly compete with the Ford Ecosport and Hyundai i20 Active.

Tivoli is a new model of Ssangyong. The concept car named X100 was introduced at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. This model started selling in the Korean market from January 2015.

Ssangyong Tivoli has also just appeared in the Vietnamese market through distributor AutoK. This unit said that it has signed a contract to import 300 Tivoli cars and if sales are positive, within the next year the company will win exclusive distribution rights in Vietnam.

SsangYong Tivoli enters the small SUV segment with the advantage of being a Korean car and having a reasonable price.

Tivoli is a small SUV and the distributor is confident that with a price of 630 million VND, Ssangyong's car will beat its biggest competitor in the segment, the Ford Ecospot.

Ssangyong Tivoli has dimensions of length, width, height of 4,195 x 1,795 x 1,590 mm, wheelbase of 2,600 mm and ground clearance of 167 mm. The SUV has a youthful exterior and interior with felt material.

Outstanding features include a 7-inch infotainment screen with a rearview camera, automatic air conditioning, and an electric power steering wheel that displays the steering angle. Safety features include airbags for the driver and passenger; curtain airbags, driver's knee airbags, and front side airbags. Anti-lock braking system ABS, emergency brake assist, electronic brake force distribution, reverse sensors, and winter driving mode.

The car has many special features and different driving modes.

The car uses a 1.6L gasoline engine, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission to produce a maximum capacity of 128 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 160 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

The compact SUV also supports 3 driving modes (Normal, Comfort and Sport) combined with 3 operating modes (ECO, Power, Winter) that directly affect the engine, helping the car operate according to the driver's needs. In addition, the manual mode (M) with the gear lever located right next to the handle, allows manual gear shifting with just the thumb.
