Russian Su-30SM intercepts US aircraft over Black Sea
A Russian Su-30SM fighter jet took off to intercept a US reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea, the Russian Federal Defense Control Center said.

Accordingly, on August 21, Russian airspace control means detected an aerial target over the neutral waters of the Black Sea approaching the border of the Russian Federation.
The crew of the Russian fighter approached at a safe distance the airborne object and identified it as a US Air Force RC-135 strategic reconnaissance aircraft.
"After the RC-135 turned back from the border of the Russian Federation, the Russian fighter safely returned to base. The entire flight of the Russian Su-30SM fighter strictly complied with international rules for the use of airspace," the Russian Federal Defense Control Center affirmed.
