324th Division: Thorough and detailed training preparations.

(Baonghean) - Building on the achievements of 2013, the Party Committee and Command of the 324th Division achieved the status of "Strong and Excellent Party Committee" and "Strong and Excellent Unit," at the beginning of the 2014 training year, the Party Committee and Command of the 324th Division focused on leading and directing agencies and units to prepare for the 2014 training year, as well as welcoming the first batch of new recruits in 2014 and organizing training to achieve high results from the first day and first week of training.

During a visit by the Division's delegation to Regiment 1 to inspect preparations for receiving new recruits and entering the new training season of 2014, Major Doan Sinh Hoa, the Regiment Commander, told us: "Following the principle of senior officers setting an example and closely guiding and assisting subordinates in preparing for training, and drawing on the experience gained over the past five years, the Regiment has been awarded the flag for excellent training by the Ministry of National Defense. This year, right from the start of training, the Regiment has directed its units to do a good job of all preparations, such as lesson plans, training grounds, and training for officers at all levels. In particular, the Regiment selected Company 6, Battalion 2, as a model for a lesson plan review session so that each level could learn from the experience throughout the Regiment. To achieve excellent training, the first step is to prepare thoroughly."

The 324th Division provided thorough and detailed training.

At the training ground of Battalion 2, the unit is conducting a model session on tactical training lesson plans. Captain Pham Le Tuan, Battalion Commander, said: “Through lesson plans, we help our officers ‘learn new things and review old ones,’ providing timely training for both subordinates and superiors. We require training officers to develop plans and present various scenarios to train troops in a realistic manner.”

First Lieutenant Hoang Van Chien, Company 6, believes that lesson plans should first and foremost be clear, neat, and in accordance with staff regulations. During preparation, officers must carefully read the materials, practice the correct pronunciation and movements, and use illustrative models to make the lessons easy for the soldiers to understand and remember. Especially for difficult or new content, in each lesson, officers must identify key points to address common mistakes soldiers make during training, as well as find valuable experiences in training methods and combat experience to enrich the lectures. Simultaneously, they need to further train subordinate officers on training methods and instill in the soldiers a strong will and determination.

Colonel Nguyen Van Son, the Division Commander, further informed us: Along with organizing well-structured training courses, the Division proactively organizes the thorough education of officers and soldiers to ensure they understand their tasks, training levels, and specific assignments. This includes strict organization, regular inspections, and competitions, encouraging officers to self-study and improve their skills. In addition, each level develops realistic, unified, and synchronized training plans, clearly defining targets and measures in leadership resolutions; Training quality is being improved and enhanced for all personnel, with the goal for 2014 being 100% of officers trained according to their rank, 90% of battalion officers, and 70% of company and platoon officers achieving good or excellent results. Training in platoons will achieve 100% satisfactory content and topics, with 75% or more achieving good or excellent results. Squad-level combat shooting, platoon-level drills, and even agency-level exercises achieved excellent technical and tactical performance with absolute safety; training was linked to building a regular and disciplined organization, strengthening comprehensive and in-depth agencies and units, and thoroughly overcoming weaknesses and shortcomings... Focusing on breakthrough areas such as: Building truly exemplary leading cadres at all levels in terms of character, ethics, and lifestyle, and fulfilling their responsibilities well; overcoming the disease of achieving superficial results, covering up, and concealing shortcomings; improving the quality of training, with a focus on regulations and marksmanship; improving the quality and effectiveness of political education and ideological management, combined with legal education, to transform awareness and work ethic, acting according to responsibilities, and strictly adhering to laws and discipline.

In addition, the unit invested 604 million VND in repairing and reinforcing 80 technical and tactical training grounds and specialized training areas; and 76 drill and physical training grounds. They also renovated 110 sets of concealed and visible targets for AK rifle shooting training and testing (lesson 1); repainted and reinforced 13,389 various training aids; and invested 34,444 man-days in reinforcing training grounds and practice areas. The target was for each regiment to have 5 and each battalion to have 2-3 high-quality technical improvement initiatives that could be effectively applied in practice. Furthermore, they stabilized the organizational structure according to regulations, ensuring favorable conditions for training, established training frameworks, and made thorough preparations for barracks, living quarters, study areas, work facilities, and recreational activities for soldiers. To prepare for the training of new recruits, the Division assigned units to proactively coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to organize propaganda for young people and their families to understand the unit's traditions and tasks, thereby enabling the unit to assess the number and quality of young people. With a thorough, proactive, and specific preparation for training, it is believed that the officers and soldiers of the 324th Division will successfully complete their training tasks in 2014.
