324th Division: Conducts live-fire exercises.
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the combat training plan for the last six months of 2014 of the 4th Military Region Commander, on the morning of October 3rd at Thanh Phong training ground, the 324th Division conducted a live-fire exercise with the theme "Infantry Battalion, supported by artillery, anti-aircraft, and air force fire, attacks enemy defenses in mountainous and forested terrain."
Attending and directing the event were Major General Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region, and representatives from the Military Region's agencies.
The purpose of this exercise is to improve the level of organization and command in combat, the coordination capabilities between infantry, firepower, and air force, and to help officers and soldiers flexibly apply combat principles and conduct combat operations closely aligned with the target in specific terrain. At the same time, it aims to identify limitations and weaknesses in order to plan for training and improve the unit's combat readiness.

The officers and soldiers of Battalion 4 (Regiment 335) participated in the live-fire exercise, supported by the Regiment, Division, and Air Defense-Air Force aircraft. Thanks to thorough preparation, from instilling determination in officers and soldiers to ensuring adequate facilities and practicing various scenarios, the units adhered closely to the content and tactical principles of the exercise. The attack was conducted with secrecy and surprise, adhering to tactical intentions and operational principles; and with close coordination with other branches of the armed forces. The live-fire exercise successfully destroyed all targets, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment. At the conclusion of the exercise, the Commander of the Military Region Command commended and highly praised the Division for successfully organizing the exercise and achieving the set objectives.
