Division 324 opens 2017 Sports Festival

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, at BB1 Regiment, Division 324 (Military Region 4), the 2017 Sports Festival opened.

This sports festival has 350 athletes and coaches from 8 delegations in the entire Division participating. These are excellent athletes selected by agencies and units through grassroots sports festivals.

Athletes compete in 9 events including: Tennis; 4 combined military sports; strong soldiers; military swimming; K100 obstacle course; cross-country running; men's volleyball; men's table tennis (over 40 years old); men's and women's badminton and unarmed combat. In which, unarmed combat is competed in each weight category as determined by the organizing committee.

After the opening ceremony, the sports festival will feature competitions in unarmed combat, volleyball, badminton, armed swimming, etc. The sports festival will end on May 25, 2017.

The sports festival aims to evaluate the quality of physical training and sports activities of agencies and units, and at the same time to select excellent athletes and establish a training team to participate in the upcoming Military Region-level sports festival to achieve high prizes./.
