1. Afghan security forces destroy terrorists, rescue hostages

The hostage siege at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan, ended on the morning of January 21. The kidnappers were killed.

The information was given by Najib Danish, spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior. Accordingly, 3 attackers involved in this incident were killed. 146 people, including 41 foreigners, were rescued from the hotel.
