The Party's leadership over 30 years of reform.

On the morning of February 14th, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a seminar to summarize the theory and practice of "Building the ruling Party, renewing the content and methods of the Party's leadership over 30 years of reform".

Mr. Vu Trong Kim, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, chaired the workshop.

At the conference, delegates affirmed that, over the past 30 years as the ruling party, our Party has led the country's revolutionary cause, creating breakthroughs in many areas of politics, economics, culture, society, national security and defense, and foreign affairs.

With the motto "look straight at the truth, assess the truth correctly, speak the truth clearly," the Communist Party of Vietnam has recognized its role and responsibility in building itself to be on par with the political tasks of a ruling party, leading and directing the implementation of its platform, guidelines, policies, and laws, with a focus on leading economic development, leading the political system, the State, the Front, and socio-political organizations, and building and consolidating the great national unity.

Currently, the Party continues to lead the cause of reform, fulfilling the two strategic tasks of building and defending the Fatherland and achieving the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization.

However, in the process of reform, promoting industrialization, modernization, and international integration, we also face many difficulties and challenges. This not only requires the concerted efforts and unwavering solidarity of the entire Party, army, and people, but also demands self-renewal from our Party.

At the seminar, delegates focused on identifying the advantages, disadvantages, causes, and lessons learned regarding the relationship between the Party's leadership and the Front's role; the relationship between the Party's leadership implementing the principle of democratic centralism and the Front's leadership implementing the principle of democratic consultation. Simultaneously, they presented analyses, summaries, and solutions for defining and renewing the content of the ruling Party's leadership in the process of national renewal and the renewal of the Party's leadership and governance methods, meeting the requirements of democratization and scientific approach.
