LTA is aware of its wrongdoing, removed the post and apologized to veterans and duty personnel.
On the afternoon of August 30, Hanoi City Police informed that they had handled a case.post false informationrelated to a 90-year-old veteran during the rehearsal of the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Specifically, on the evening of August 27, a clip was circulated on social media with the content that the security and order forces on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street prevented a 90-year-old veteran from watching the parade because... he did not buy a seat.
However, after verification, the authorities confirmed that this information was false. In fact, when Mr. NVL (the veteran in the clip) was brought by his relatives to watch the parade, the authorities instructed the family to move about 90 meters to a more convenient area, where there were priority seats for veterans and the elderly.

Through investigation, Hanoi police identified the person who posted the video as LTA (born in 2005, residing in Phuong Duc commune, Hanoi). At the police station, LTA confessed that due to frustration over a personal conflict with a person in the clip, he arbitrarily made up his own thoughts and then posted false information.
LTA admitted its wrongdoing, removed the post, and apologized to veterans and duty personnel.

The Internal Political Security Department has filed a case and handled LTA for the act of "Providing and sharing fake, untrue, distorted, slanderous information, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals".
Hanoi Police advise people to be cautious and verify information before posting or sharing on social networks. Any act of spreading false information, causing public confusion, or affecting the reputation of organizations and individuals will be handled according to the law.
