US global approval falls to record low
Gallup poll results show that the number of countries where the majority of people are dissatisfied with the US leadership has more than tripled. In 2016, there were 16 such countries, but in 2017, this number was 53 countries.

"Since we've been collecting data, approval of the United States has never been this low," Gallup said in a press release.
Topping the list is Norway, where Washington's policies are not to the liking of 86% of respondents. High levels of dissatisfaction are also recorded in Canada, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany.
Gallup noted that Washington's allies have repeatedly criticized Mr Trump for his comments about "an outdated NATO".
The US president later said he did not think so, but White House opponents had other reasons to criticize, such as the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement or the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The countries with the highest pro-US populations today are Kosovo (75%), Albania (72%) and the Republic of Guinea (71%).
