(Baonghean.vn) - As the most chosen milk brand in Vietnam, Vinamilk continues to lead the domestic market in both major product lines: liquid milk and powdered milk for children, with outstanding products such as 100% fresh milk, Dielac powdered milk and Optimum Gold.

Continue to lead the milk market

According to data in the latest report provided by Nielsen Vietnam Company Limited, Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) is currently leading the domestic market in both output and sales of both liquid milk and powdered milk for children for 12 consecutive months (from March 2018 to February 2019).

Over the years, Vinamilk has maintained its leading position in the market with international quality liquid milk and powdered milk products for children, and through its efforts to improve technology and pioneer advanced nutritional trends such as Organic, A2, etc. Thanks to that, Vinamilk continues to consolidate and affirm its position as the milk brand most chosen by Vietnamese consumers according to Kantar WorldPanel's Brand Footprint rankings in 2018.

According to this report, survey results in 4 major cities of Vietnam showed that more than 97% of households use Vinamilk products and this rate in rural areas is more than 86% (as of December 2018).

Not only leading the domestic market, Vinamilk is also considered one of the prestigious exporting enterprises. From 1997 to now, Vinamilk's total export turnover has reached about 2 billion USD (equivalent to 45,520 billion VND) and has been present in 50 countries and territories, with main products being powdered milk, nutritional powder for children, condensed milk, yogurt... Among them, there are markets that require very high quality standards for imported food such as Japan, the US, Canada, Australia,...

Vinamilk's Marketing Executive Director, Mr. Phan Minh Tien, said: “Vinamilk deeply appreciates the support and trust of Vietnamese consumers for Vinamilk products and brands. That is the company's biggest motivation in its nearly 43-year journey. In the coming time, Vinamilk will continue to develop and diversify its product lines according to advanced nutritional trends in the world such as Organic, A2... to introduce to Vietnamese consumers.”

Parallel development of production capacity and product quality

To meet the needs of both domestic and foreign markets, Vinamilk has continuously invested in developing production capacity with 13 factories in Vietnam, including 2 super factories for liquid milk and powdered milk with large capacity, applying modern technology and high automation. Specifically, Vietnam Milk Factory (producing liquid milk) has a maximum capacity of 800 million liters/year, Vietnam Powdered Milk Factory has an initial investment capital of up to 2,000 billion VND, with a capacity of 54,000 tons of powdered milk/year.

Proactive source of international quality fresh milk

Developing fresh milk raw material areas for industrial production is a key strategy of Vinamilk. Recently, Vinamilk inaugurated its 12th farm in Tay Ninh with a dairy cow “resort” model, pioneering the comprehensive application of 4.0 technology in management and breeding. This dairy cow “resort” is also a member of Vinamilk’s largest farm system in Asia certified to meet the Global GAP standard.

This event marked a new step forward in the development of the Vietnamese dairy industry, demonstrating Vinamilk's efforts in investing in building a source of fresh milk with international standards for Vietnamese consumers.

Currently, the total herd of cows that Vinamilk is managing and exploiting for milk is approximately 130,000 (including 12 Vinamilk farms and farming households that have contracts to supply raw fresh milk to Vinamilk under technical supervision and milk quality testing according to Vinamilk's standards). With the above resources, Vinamilk can produce an average of 950 - 1,000 tons of raw fresh milk per day, equivalent to about 5.5 million boxes of fresh milk per day (180ml boxes).

Vinamilk's system of 12 farms across the country are all built according to international agricultural standards, of which 10 farms are built according to Global GAP standards, with all cows imported from Australia, the US and New Zealand and 2 dairy farms according to European Organic standards.
