Subaru WRX STI 2018 - the first sports sedan in Vietnam

The high-performance sedan and Mitsubishi Evo form a legendary pair of Japanese sports cars.

Mitsubishi Evo was discontinued in 2015 due to falling sales and the Japanese brand's new business strategy, leaving the WRX STI without a formidable rival in the four-wheeled world. The 2018 version of the brand's high-performance sedanSubaru has just arrived in Vietnam.

This is an officially imported car model, expected to be introduced at the 2017 international auto show in Ho Chi Minh City. The upgraded version for 2017 has slight changes in interior and exterior design and is equipped with some additional driver assistance features.

The 2018 WRX STI doesn't differ much in design from its predecessor. However, the car has larger air intakes and no longer has fog lights. Along with the suspension upgrade are 6-piston Brembo brake calipers at the front, 2-piston calipers at the rear, and new 19-inch alloy wheels.

The WRX STI's upgraded all-wheel drive system features electrically controlled adaptive torque vectoring, replacing the electromechanical combination on its predecessor.

Interior with 5.9-inch information display instead of 4.3 inches as before. More refined interior upholstery details. Sporty leather seats, contrast stitching. Standard eight-way power driver's seat.

Subaru WRX STI 2018 in Vietnam still retains the 2.5 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, 305 horsepower, maximum torque of 407 Nm. 6-speed manual transmission. The new generation of this model is expected to launch in 2019.

The new WRX STI has not yet announced its price in Vietnam, the old version costs nearly 2 billion. In the US, the upgraded WRX STI starts at 36,100 USD.
