Currently, MBDA has basically completed the testing process for the Enforcer missile.
According to the above source, during the testing of the Enforcer missile conducted by the Weapons and Ammunition Center of the German Ministry of Defense, the new generation of lightweight missiles proved to be a highly accurate attack weapon.
“In test firings at distances of 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 meters, the Enforcer missile prototype hit the target with minimal errors,” said a source from the German Ministry of Defense. If everything goes according to plan, in 2017, the Enforcer missile will participate in target testing in low visibility conditions and harsh weather before being mass-produced by the German Army.
It is known that the Enforcer missile was developed by the MBDA branch in Germany at the request of the German Ministry of Defense for a high-precision attack weapon for future armies and branches. The requirement for this weapon line is to ensure the ability to accurately attack any target within a range of 2km.
Structurally, the Enforcer missile is housed in a disposable square carbon fiber capsule. All aiming equipment is mounted externally for easy removal after each shot.
The weight of the entire Enforcer missile system with two projectiles is about 25kg, each missile weighs 7kg. With an optical-infrared seeker, the Enforcer missile is equipped with a multi-purpose warhead for the mission of destroying light armored vehicles or enemy troops. It is not yet clear whether the Enforcer has a heavy anti-tank version or not.
