Mr. Le Xuan Son - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Chuong district, shared: In reality, in Thanh Chuong, the strength of great solidarity among the people is lit up and "blown up" through the coordination of the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations to propagate and mobilize people to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, especially the Campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", associated with the movement of all people joining hands to build new rural areas, the campaign to support the fund "Day for the poor"; continue to promote "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"...

Regarding many communes in Thanh Chuong, we noted the sharing of localities that: The activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Chuong have gone into practical and specific contents and tasks, bringing about effectiveness to the lives of people in each residential area. For example, the Campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" chaired by the Fatherland Front at all levels, including 6 comprehensive contents in all aspects of social life, in which the most widespread content is "uniting to help each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty". Along with the attention and investment of the Party and the State through programs and projects, many communes have had practical ways, such as helping with working days, breeding animals, helping with capital, with livestock and crop breeding techniques, with job referrals; thereby contributing to solving employment, improving income for many workers, improving the quality of life, reducing the rate of poor households in the whole district to 15%.

Or as in the content of "Solidarity to build cultural life, preserve and promote national cultural identity", through the registration of building cultural families and advanced residential areas organized annually by the Fatherland Front at all levels, localities have focused on implementing cultural lifestyles in weddings and funerals; promoting cultural and sports activities associated with building synchronous cultural and sports institutions in each residential area. Up to now, the rate of families achieving cultural titles is 78.5%; there are 350 cultural villages and units (an increase of 114 villages and units compared to the beginning of the term).

Thanh Xuan Commune Fatherland Front supported the construction of a Great Solidarity House for Ms. Le Thi Chau's family in Xuan Hong hamlet.

In particular, the campaign to support the "Day for the Poor" fund has been widely deployed in 100% of residential areas, becoming a regular and effective activity with many diverse forms of mobilization. The amount of money directly mobilized into the district and commune funds in the past 5 years alone has reached nearly 4.5 billion VND. From this amount, the Fatherland Front at all levels has renovated 256 great solidarity houses; supported thousands of poor households to buy seeds, fertilizers, medicines and books for poor children to study, helping them overcome difficulties, escape poverty, and stabilize their lives. Typical communes include Thanh Linh, Thanh Lien, Thanh Duong, Thanh Khai, Dong Van, Thanh Dong, towns... In parallel, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Chuong always pays attention to visiting and encouraging poor families, policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, families facing risks and misfortunes... to gradually stabilize their lives; Basic policy households have material and spiritual life higher than the district average.

Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Le Xuan Son affirmed: Through the above outstanding practical activities, it has contributed significantly to motivating, encouraging and promoting the internal strength of all classes of people in each residential area to participate in hunger eradication, poverty reduction and striving to become rich. Thereby, affirming and enhancing the position; innovating the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Chuong according to the motto of bringing the Front's work to residential areas. This is the basis and premise for the effective implementation of other contents and tasks of the Fatherland Front at all levels.

Talking about the role and contribution of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Chuong, comrade Dang Anh Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee, said: In the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Chuong proactively implemented many local tasks, creating many marks for the term. Most clearly, the Fatherland Front and its members actively mobilized, explained, and persuaded people to implement the policy of land consolidation associated with new rural construction. Up to this point, the whole district has 33 communes completing land consolidation with the target of 1-2 areas/household. In the remaining 7 communes, the communes have completed the conversion of 2/3 of the hamlets; some communes have completed the conversion of rice fields, the remaining is fertile land; some communes have completed 15/16 hamlets. In particular, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its members have mobilized people to donate 285,472 m2 of land, 148,935 trees of all kinds, relocated houses, livestock barns, stalls and removed 2,986 m2 of fences..., with a total value of over 11 billion VND; mobilized 1,042 machine shifts and 8,649 working days, opened 52.74 km of new roads and adjusted 675 km of intra-field roads; built 237.3 km of standard rural roads... Typical communes include: Thanh Linh, Thanh Giang, Ngoc Son, Dong Van, Thanh Hung, Thanh Khe, Thanh Van....

Another clear mark is that the Fatherland Front and its members have proactively registered to preside over programs and projects of the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee to implement the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term. In particular, the programs and projects implemented by the Fatherland Front and its members have brought about many results, such as the tea development project, the raw material plant development project, the cattle and buffalo herd development project, the pig herd development project;... Thereby contributing to the formation of key economic spearheads in each region in Thanh Chuong district, promoting economic growth with an average rate of 16.41%; the economic structure has shifted in the right direction. People's lives and incomes have improved step by step, reaching from 9.05 million VND (in 2009) to 17.5 million VND/person/year (2013), an increase of 8.45 million VND.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thanh Chuong has paid attention to and taken care of propaganda and mobilization work for people of all walks of life to well implement the grassroots democracy regulations, linking democratic content with caring for the legitimate and legal interests of the people, promoting the people's mastery and the role of social supervision and criticism; actively participating in building a clean and strong Party, government and organizations in the political system, maintaining the close relationship between the Party, the State and the people. The Fatherland Front and its members have actively contributed to the success of the election of deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term, in conjunction with organizing meetings with voters and deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; coordinating to collect votes of confidence and votes of confidence for positions elected or approved by the People's Councils; coordinating to collect people's opinions on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution and the draft Land Law (amended)....

The work of receiving people and resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens has been of interest to the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels. In the past 5 years, 515 petitions and opinions have been received, of which 511 petitions and opinions have been resolved satisfactorily, equivalent to 99.2%. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels periodically coordinates with the Standing Committee of the People's Council at the same level and the People's Council Committees to organize many supervision sessions in areas related to the rights and obligations of the people according to the provisions of law, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management; contributing to clearly affirming the role of social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social life.

The results and practical lessons learned during the past 5-year term will be evaluated and summarized by the Thanh Chuong District Fatherland Front at the 18th Congress of the Thanh Chuong District Fatherland Front for the 2014-2019 term, on that basis, building and preparing for the entire next term. In which, the emphasized issue is to pay attention to building the organization, innovating the content and methods of operation of the Front, focusing on the grassroots and residential areas; promoting the strength of member organizations to create strong momentum in patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns chaired by the Fatherland Front. Through that, the position and role of the Fatherland Front at all levels in political and social life will be enhanced; the staff doing Front work will also grow, be trusted and highly appreciated by cadres, party members and people.
