In his Federal Message, Mr. Putin emphasized that this powerful weapon will be equipped on both Russian surface ships and submarines, and even more promising features are being designed.
The Kremlin chief pointed out: There is also a new promising prospect, that is, the production is going very smoothly and according to the planned time frame and will certainly be completed soon.
"Specifically, I want to talk about the Zircon hypersonic missile with a flight speed of up to Mach 9 (that is, 9 times the speed of sound) at a distance of more than 1,000 km, capable of hitting both sea and land targets," President Putin revealed.

Also in his State of the Nation Address, President Putin said that airborne systems carrying Russia's hypersonic missile called Kinzhal successfully demonstrated unique features during field tests.
Mr. Putin emphasized that the laser systems have been transferred to the Russian Armed Forces, and are expected to be operational next December./.
