The almighty power of Russian warships visits Cam Ranh
On June 3, a fleet of warships from the Russian Pacific Fleet docked at Cam Ranh International Port, Khanh Hoa, for a visit lasting until June 6.
The Russian warship contingent visiting Cam Ranh included Admiral Tributs and Admiral Vinogradov, along with the logistics ship Pechenga, with 76 officers, 680 soldiers, sailors and 63 Russian staff. Attending the welcoming ceremony were representatives of the Navy, the Foreign Affairs Department, the Office of the Ministry of National Defense, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs and the Military Security Department.
During their visit to Vietnam, Russian officers and sailors implemented the contents of the agreement between the leaders of the two countries' Ministries of Defense, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship and promoting bilateral defense cooperation, including naval cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, the commanding officers will pay courtesy visits to the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and the Naval Region 4 Command. The delegation will lay wreaths at the Memorial to the Soviet-Russian-Vietnamese soldiers who sacrificed their lives for peace and stability in the region.
In particular, the ship's crew will participate in sports exchanges with officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 4 Command. It is known that among the warships visiting Cam Ranh this time, the Admiral Vinogradov is equipped with very powerful offensive and defensive weapons and has an operating range of over 6,500 km, so it can reach out to sea and ocean areas far from Russia.
To perform the mission - especially anti-submarine, the Vinogradov is equipped with a series of modern radars including: MR-760MA Fregat-MA/Top plate-3D air search radar, MR-320M Topaz-V/Strut Pair air and sea search radar. Fire control equipment includes: Lesorub-5 system, 2 MR-360 Podkat/Cross Sword fire control radars for SA-N-9.
In addition, the ship is also equipped with a series of positioning equipment including: MGK-355 Polinom sonar set with sonar placed at the bow of the ship Orion/Horse Jaw Bow and Horse Tail positioning. In terms of weapons, the Vinogradov is equipped with the PK-2 decoy launcher system - a system consisting of decoy launchers, decoy rockets and control radar.
The SS-N-14 missile complex is used for both anti-submarine and anti-ship missions. The missile is designed based on the SS-N-9 missile (also known as the P-120 Malakhit), the SS-N-14 missile weighs nearly 4 tons and is 7.2 meters long. The SS-N-14 missile is equipped with a solid-fuel engine, carrying different types of warheads suitable for each mission.
