Youthful energy on construction sites

(Baonghean)With the slogan "Improving the quality of the Youth Union organization, promoting unity, innovation, dynamism, creativity, and contributing to the sustainable development of the Corporation," during the 2006-2012 term, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Construction Corporation No. 4 (Cienco4) effectively developed and implemented many planned activities, leading to the increasingly strong development of the Youth Union's activities and youth movement.

Over the years, the youth of CIENCO 4 have consistently demonstrated a pioneering and creative spirit in production and youth union activities, contributing to the unit's successful completion of production and business tasks. Implementing the "5 Pioneering Movements for Socio-Economic Development and National Defense" launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the General Corporation's Youth Union Executive Committee has concretized this into the "Pioneering in Production and Unit Development" movement, which has been disseminated to grassroots youth union branches and members. This movement has been implemented extensively, practically, creatively, and effectively, manifested in activities such as: competitive production on construction sites, undertaking youth projects and tasks; ensuring labor safety; building a team of cadres and youth union members who are highly skilled engineers and specialists, and skilled workers who are pioneers in solving new and difficult tasks for the unit...



Construction of Ring Road 3 - Hanoi

During the past term, the Youth Union of the Corporation organized many emulation campaigns on key projects such as: Emulation to accelerate the completion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway project; Emulation to complete package 3.2 of the Gie - Ninh Binh expressway; Emulation to accelerate the completion of the connecting section of Ring Road 3 to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi; Emulation to accelerate progress, ensure labor safety, and build the CIENCO 4 brand at package 1 of Ring Road 3 - Hanoi; Competing to accelerate progress and ensure labor and traffic safety at Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge - Da Nang City… The youth of the Corporation have demonstrated a pioneering spirit, always enthusiastically volunteering to work overtime, developing many technical innovation initiatives, and undertaking weak points, difficult tasks, and new projects, contributing to the completion and commissioning of major projects such as: Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, Vinh Tuy Bridge, Thanh Tri Bridge, Phung Bridge, Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway, Lang - Hoa Lac Road, the Can Tho - Ca Mau Bridge project (7 bridges), Da Khai Hydropower Plant project, Package 3 - Hanoi Ring Road 3, Pa Uon Bridge... Currently, major projects such as: Package 1 - Hanoi Ring Road 3, Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge, Dong Tru Bridge, Nhat Tan Bridge, Package 1 Nhat Tan - Noi Bai, Song Hong Bridge, Song Lo Bridge, Ben Thuy 2 Bridge, Cua Dai Bridge, Hoa Phuoc Bridge, The Co Co Bridge project is being constructed urgently with the goal of completing it ahead of schedule, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency, thereby enhancing CIENCO 4's reputation and brand in the market. Youth union members are a crucial force, making significant contributions in terms of intellect and effort to these projects.

During the past term, 565 youth projects and tasks were undertaken by Youth Union branches at all levels, with a value of 153 billion VND; hundreds of specialized equipment and vehicles were operated and exploited by Youth Union members, ensuring safety, high productivity, and fuel efficiency.

In addition, the movement to study and improve professional skills, technical expertise, political theory, computer skills, and foreign languages ​​has also been actively participated in by the Youth Union members. Currently, the young scientific and technical staff of the Corporation have mastered and skillfully applied modern construction technologies in the bridge construction industry. The "CIENCO 4 Young Innovators" competition is one of the activities that has made a mark on CIENCO 4's youth; through it, a large number of young union members have actively participated in scientific research, applied new technologies, promoted initiatives, and improved technical skills in all fields, increasing productivity and product quality. The projects and initiatives participating in the young innovators competitions have brought economic benefits, saving the unit tens of billions of VND. During the past term, there were 370 projects on rationalizing production at all levels, of which 75 projects were highly appreciated by the Central Youth Union, the Ministry of Transport, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Construction Corporation No. 4. Among these, 2 projects were recognized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as outstanding national youth innovation projects in 2010.

Not only are they proactive in their professional work, but the CIENCO 4 Youth Union members are also actively promoting volunteer activities for the community with many diverse and rich forms. CIENCO 4 Youth Union members have contributed hundreds of millions of VND to visit families of policy beneficiaries, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, enthusiastically help disabled children, families affected by natural disasters, and participate in poverty alleviation programs...

Through emulation movements, the youth union members of the Corporation have strived, contributed, and matured; many comrades, despite their young age, have held important responsibilities within the Corporation; many exemplary collectives and individuals have emerged in their studies and work, receiving recognition and high praise from all levels. During the past term, 412 youth union members were admitted to the Party, a 250% increase compared to the target set at the beginning of the term.

In recognition of the achievements of CIENCO4's youth, at this congress, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of CIENCO4 was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam. With their intelligence and youthful energy, the youth of CIENCO4 are the generation continuing the glorious 50-year legacy of construction and development of the Transport Construction Corporation No. 4.
