Gun and 2,000 bullets in clothes from the US to Ho Chi Minh City
Tan Son Nhat Airport Customs has just discovered and seized a case of transporting air guns and bullets in a shipment imported from the US to Vietnam.
This afternoon (August 25), the Customs Branch at Tan Son Nhat International Airport announced that it had just seized a gun and 2,000 bullets hidden in imported goods.

Specifically, the Department coordinated with the Anti-Smuggling Control Team of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department to inspect, detect and seize a shipment imported from the US to Vietnam, including 6 packages, weighing a total of 98kg, containing guns and gun components.
During the physical inspection, the customs discovered 1 air gun and 2,000 bullets mixed in with imported goods including clothes, shoes, functional foods, computer speakers, bicycle parts, and plastic watches. Continuing the inspection, the authorities also discovered 24 specialized air compressors and 2 tubes of lubricant used for the aforementioned air guns.
The recipient, a 34-year-old Vietnamese man, was unable to present documents related to the guns and ammunition.
The case is being investigated and handled by the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch in coordination with relevant agencies according to regulations./.
