On the first day of the year of Mau Tuat 2018, Suzuki's recall campaign will begin on 4,443 Raider 150 manual transmission motorbikes in Vietnam.
Suzuki Vietnam has just announced the latest recall involving 4,443 Raider 150 manual transmission motorbikes. The cause of the recall is due to a problem with the contact assembly located in the main locking socket of the spare parts supplier from Indonesia. Accordingly, the welding catalyst still on the contact surface can cause poor contact when the temperature increases, leading to flickering.
Users may experience a phenomenon when turning on the starter switch, the electrical system sometimes loses power, causing the vehicle to not start or, more dangerously, suddenly stop while operating. The Raider 150 vehicles subject to recall were manufactured from November 10, 2016 to August 1, 2017.
Raider 150 is one of Suzuki's best-selling models. |
The recall is carried out completely free of charge at Suzuki dealers nationwide. Technicians will inspect and replace the contact assembly in the ignition lock assembly free of charge, the estimated repair time is about 30 minutes. The recall program starts from February 16, 2018 to December 31, 2018.
Suzuki Raider 150 is one of the three outstanding sport clutch motorbikes in the segment. Although it is in the top best-selling motorbikes of the Japanese car manufacturer, compared to its two compatriots Honda Winner 150 and Yamaha Exciter 150, the sales of Suzuki Raider 150 are still insignificant. In addition to the brand factor, the picky design is also one of the reasons for low sales.
