Syria: Eastern Daraa falls to SAA's scorching blow
Unable to withstand the firepower of SAA forces, rebels in Eastern Daraa lost their last town to government forces.
Information about the new victory of the Syrian Government Army (SAA) was reported by Al-Masdar News citing a battlefield military source, saying that the SAA has just captured the last town in the East of Daraa after a fierce battle with the Southern Front Brigade of the Free Syrian Army.
Backed by heavy airstrikes, SAA forces were able to overwhelm the rebels in the town of Al-Naimah, forcing them to retreat. The new advance by the Syrian army comes just 18 hours after their troops captured the neighboring town of Saida from the Free Syrian Army and its allies.

Having taken control of Al-Naimah, SAA forces continued to move towards other areas of Daraa while their 4th Division inside the city advanced south of Al-Balad district, Daraa.
At the same time, the main SAA force, the Tiger Division, is preparing to launch a full-scale attack to regain control of the Jordanian border gate in the southeast of Daraa city.
Currently, the Syrian government army's offensive forces have been reinforced for this decisive battle, focusing on the strategic Nassib border gate and crossroads.
In preparation for this fierce attack, the SAA's artillery and missile forces conducted fierce artillery and ground-based missile attacks, destroying the front lines of the extremist Islamic group Free Syrian Army at this important border crossing and border gate.
These forces took positions, positioned around the nearby town of Ghariyah Al-Sharqiyah, and attacked Free Syrian Army targets on the Nassib border crossing, the adjacent towns of Saida, Umm Mayadhan, and Al-Matayah.
To enhance the effectiveness of the attack, the Artillery and Missile Forces of the Tiger Division, in coordination with the firepower units of the 5th Mechanized Division, cleared the way for a key offensive in the southern part of Daraa province.
Together with ground forces, the Russian and Syrian Air Forces have launched heavy airstrikes on the defense positions of the Free Syrian Army in Daraa province.
The attack caused great damage to the defense line of the extremist Islamic forces, led by the terrorist organization Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS, Al-Qaeda Syria) and allied groups of the Free Syrian Army.
