Syrian media said yesterday that terrorists entered the country from Türkiye, and released video to prove it.

The roughly 20-second video, which appears to be satellite imagery, shows multiple vehicles driving down a tree-lined road in what appears to be northern Syria.

"Terrorists from Türkiye crossed the border into Syria," Syrian state news agency SANA said.

The video was released at a time of high tensions in northern Syria. Türkiye was accused of shelling Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) positions near al-Qamishli province in Syria on Monday.

Türkiye continues to shell Kurdish forces in Syria, preventing them from attacking the al-Qaeda-linked Nusra Front, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, and accuses Ankara of sending supplies into rebel-controlled areas near the border.

"The Turkish army attacked us seven times in February," the YPG said in a statement. The attacks, using heavy artillery, affected civilians, killing two people.

The Kurds, the Syrian government and Russia have all accused Türkiye of supporting the Nusra Front and the Islamic State (IS). These two rebel groups are not included in the ceasefire agreement in Syria, meaning attacks against them are allowed.
