In addition to the poem "Time of Red Flowers" written in 1972, which was composed into a famous song of the same name by musician Nguyen Dinh Bang, Thanh Tung has many works that have been set to music such as "Nguoi ve", "Ha Noi ngay tro ve" and "Mua thu hi em" by Phu Quang. In particular, the song "Hay tro ve" has the lyrics "Voi tro ve, huu vat ra di" which has become a catchphrase for many people. "It must be admitted that Thanh Tung has some truly poetic verses, which are haunting after reading them once. In addition to the ideas, Thanh Tung's poems are also rich in melody," Phu Quang once shared.

"My father was simply a poet, a poetess. He lived without competing with anyone, without jostling, without calculating gains and losses, but always maintained his innocence and romanticism. He always endured poverty happily and optimistically. He loved poetry, so he considered poverty and rags just a challenge, which he would overcome at some point. He always valued friendship and poetry. His spirit and determination have given me the life I have today," Ms. Lan Huong shared.

* Artist Thai Bao sings "Red Flower Season"

Red flower season

Under the color of flowers like burning desire

He held my hand and walked along the empty road.

Only the sound of cicadas boiling does not give a quiet summer afternoon

Won't let my heart be at peace

He was absorbed in a distant cloud color.

About the sail flying through the small window

About the magic of the past

I sing an old poem

The passion of a young girl

Every season red flowers come back

Flowers fall like rain

Fragile wings scattered bright red

Like the blood of youth

Flowers fall like rain

Like the old days when we were foolish

We looked deep into each other's eyes

But feel heartache

In my poem

he is not present

The poem sings about a time of passionate love

I'm not sad, just regretful.

I do not go through all the passionate days

Flowers keep falling noisily like youth

No one can be cold

Flowers put a red mark in our hearts

Like a scratch on the heart

After the song, I was silent.

The silence is bright red flowers

I know it's meaningless to be with you

After the song I was like

You of the old red flower days

After the song, so did I.

He of the old days of youth.
