(Baonghean) - Believing their team was unfairly treated, Chairman De and the Thanh Hoa Club leadership traveled to Hanoi to hold a press conference to denounce the V.League 2013 Organizing Committee for unprofessional conduct. At this press conference, Chairman De boldly declared that if the Organizing Committee does not clarify the situation, Thanh Hoa will withdraw from the league next season!

This is perhaps the first time a football club in Vietnam, and probably in the world, has held a press conference solely to denounce the tournament organizers! Thanh Hoa's frustration is understandable, as in recent rounds, in 50/50 situations, they have consistently been the ones to lose. However, this doesn't justify the club's leadership insulting the organizers and making unreasonable demands such as: "If the organizers' eyesight is like that, they should go to the Central Eye Hospital for treatment," "Mafia-like corruption and negativity are very high in Vietnamese football," "FIFA rules need to be adjusted to suit Vietnamese football,"...

Chairman Đệ always makes strong statements and threatens the V.League organizing committee.

However, "where there's smoke, there's fire," and if the Organizing Committee had acted professionally, the Thanh Hoa team's leadership would surely not have dared to "act so recklessly." Instead of issuing a statement to Thanh Hoa FC, the V.League Organizing Committee, fearing public opinion, held a press conference to clarify that the referee had not unfairly treated the Thanh Hoa club.

Faced with a stalemate, with neither side willing to compromise, on the afternoon of August 1st, under the chairmanship of VFF President Nguyen Trong Hy, the V.League Steering Committee held an emergency meeting to find solutions to improve the organization, management, and operation of the league. Next week, the organizing committee will convene another meeting of all club presidents or authorized representatives to discuss and agree on several measures to combat corruption during the final stages of the season.

It remains to be seen what strategies the Organizing Committee and club representatives will come up with at the upcoming meeting, but it seems that the old malaise of Vietnamese football is once again seriously resurfacing, primarily due to the unprofessional conduct of both the Organizing Committee and the clubs!
