The National Traffic Safety Committee also said that on January 2, 2016, there was no traffic jam at bus stations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. However, in major cities, violations of traffic laws and safety still occur, especially violations related to motorbikes and mopeds such as not wearing helmets, carrying more people than allowed, and running red lights.

Today, people in big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City continue to flock to major shopping malls to visit and shop, and traffic congestion in areas near some shopping malls is still occurring.

According to the National Traffic Safety Committee, tomorrow, January 3, 2016, the number of people pouring into big cities, especially Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, will be very crowded at bus stations entering and leaving the city gates. Therefore, the Traffic Police force in coordination with the Traffic Inspectorate and other Police forces need to increase patrols, control, and be on duty at locations with high risk of traffic congestion, detect and strictly handle violations of traffic laws, ensuring security and safety for the people./.
