Multiple accidents on Highway 1, dozens of passengers screaming in panic
Not keeping a safe distance, 3 cars collided on Highway 1A through District 12 (Ho Chi Minh City), injuring 1 person and scaring dozens of others.

The accident occurred on the evening of September 22. A four-seater car driven by a man was traveling on National Highway 1A from An Suong intersection to Ga intersection bus station. When reaching Tan Thoi Hiep overpass (Tan Chanh Hiep ward, district 12), the driver slowed down and was suddenly hit from behind by a truck with license plate 29H-097.33 traveling in the same direction. At that moment, a passenger bus with license plate 47B-012.72 traveling at high speed in the same direction also rushed forward. The driver was unable to react in time and hit the truck.

At the scene, all three vehicles had damaged front and rear ends, occupying the entire car lane.
Immediately after the accident, the traffic police cordoned off the scene, causing serious traffic congestion from Tan Thoi Hiep overpass to Quang Trung overpass. Late that night, a crane was mobilized to the scene to remove the vehicles, and traffic was finally back to normal.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
