Was the MS804 plane crash a result of manslaughter?

(Baonghean.vn) - The Paris prosecutor's office on June 27 opened an investigation into the crash of EgyptAir flight MS804 after the memory chip in the black box was sent to France for repair.

Airbus MS804 crashed in the eastern Mediterranean Sea en route from Paris to Cairo on May 19, killing all 66 passengers and crew on board. The cause of the accident is still unclear.

"Paris prosecutors on June 27 opened an investigation into the MS804 crash with the initial cause being possible manslaughter," the prosecutor's office said.

Prosecutors added that terrorism was unlikely to be the cause of the crash.

The French air accident investigation agency (BEA) said the chip in the black box of flight MS804 was sent to France on June 27 after the black box was found badly damaged in the Mediterranean Sea on June 17 and Egyptian investigators were unable to repair it.

The chip will allow investigators to analyze data and recordings of events on the plane, which are important clues to finding the cause of the accident.
