Accident at Song Lam II Cement Factory (Anh Son) killed 3 people
On the afternoon of January 24, a serious accident occurred at Song Lam II Cement Factory in Hoi Son commune, Anh Son district, killing 3 workers.
Initial information said that the accident occurred while workers were cleaning the siphon furnace. While the workers were working, some cement suddenly fell down, crushing the workers, causing them to die on the spot. The victims were all from Phuc Son and Hoa Son communes.

Immediately after receiving the information, the authorities were present at the scene, conducted rescue work and investigated to clarify the cause of the accident.
According to initial information, the cause may have been a technical problem during the maintenance of the siphon furnace. At the time of the accident, there were 6 workers performing cleaning and maintenance work inside the furnace when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Currently, the factory is coordinating with relevant parties to support the families of the deceased victims; and the authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the incident.
