Bus accident in Japan, 14 people died
Of the 27 injured, 11 are in critical condition.
Kyodo News on January 15 quoted Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga as saying that a bus carrying 41 people lost control and overturned in Karuizawa, Nagano, killing 14 passengers and injuring 27 others this morning.

Nagano police said nine men and five women were among the dead.
According to local police sources, of the 27 injured, 11 people are in critical condition.
The accident occurred at 2 a.m. this morning (local time) when the bus started to depart from Gunma. The bus carrying 41 passengers lost control, crashed through the guardrail and crashed into the roadside in the area of National Highway 18, about 2 km south of Karuizawa Station.
Police learned about the incident when one of the passengers on the bus called for help.
Japanese authorities said the bus, owned by a Tokyo-based travel agency, was carrying passengers on a ski tour package when the accident occurred./.
