More than 10 residential areas in southern Syria voluntarily passed under the control of the Syrian authorities, the press service of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria said.

"In the past few days, after defeating a large-scale counterattack by the Jabhat al-Nusra* groups in the southern de-escalation zone, units of the Free Syrian Army, which took control of the neighborhoods of Habab, Khirbat al-ICAP, Dzherfi, Asem, Sheikh-Gharbia, Sheyh-Sharkey, El Shumarov, Khirbat al-Deir Zababir Dame, Al-Shiyah and Dzhadal, voluntarily joined the government forces," the statement said.
It is known that by Saturday afternoon, 11 residential areas in the southern de-escalation zone, previously under the control of the Free Syrian Army, were completely controlled by Damascus. The Free Syrian Army units joined the government forces to carry out joint operations against the terrorist groups "Islamic State"* and "Jabhat al-Nusra"*.
