Container driver was blindfolded, tied up and robbed of 27 tons of goods
Tien Giang Province Police are investigating and clarifying the case of a container truck driver who was robbed, blindfolded, had his hands and feet tied, and had more than 27 tons of goods stolen.
On May 29, the Criminal Police Department - Tien Giang Provincial Police and My Tho City Police conducted a crime scene investigation, verifying and clarifying the case of a container truck being broken into by robbers, controlling the driver, and disposing of more than 27 tons of goods.

Mr. Tran Minh Dung (born in 1987), residing in Tan Binh commune, La Ri district, Binh Thuan province, alone drove a container truck with license plate 51D - 048.27 of PNT Transport Company Limited (Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh city) carrying more than 27 tons of soybean residue from Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to deliver to a customer in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province.
When arriving at Song May Industrial Park (Dong Nai province), the driver stopped the car to sleep overnight. At around 3am on May 29, two robbers with guns broke in, restrained the driver, used tape to blindfold him and tied his hands and feet to steal the car.

The robbers drove the vehicle themselves and made off with more than 27 tons of goods worth more than VND300 million. At around 8:00 a.m. on May 29, the robbers stopped the container truck on Highway 1 in Phuoc Thanh Commune, My Tho City and fled.
After struggling for a while, driver Tran Minh Dung was able to remove the tape covering his eyes, called for people to untie him, and reported to the police./.
