Driver fell asleep, truck carrying wood crashed into rice field

(Baonghean.vn) - People were sleeping when they suddenly heard a loud "rumble" in the night. Everyone ran to the highway and discovered that a truck carrying acacia wood had overturned into a rice field, acacia spilled all over the field, and the driver was slightly injured in the cabin.

The accident happened at 4am this morning (September 11) at km 14 +800 of National Highway 48B, in Quynh My commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An.

Accordingly, at the above time, truck with license plate 92C 03241 was transporting acacia wood from Thai Hoa to Hoang Mai. When arriving at the above location, the driver lost sleep and let the truck run freely, veered to the left of the road and overturned into the field, causing all the acacia wood on the truck to spill into the field. According to driver T, from Thai Hoa, "I only woke up when the truck overturned into the field."

At the scene the car was overturned 45 degrees, the driver was only slightly injured.

Currently, rescue and accident recovery work must wait until morning to be handled.
