On June 8, the police of Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City, launched a pursuit to arrest a motorbike taxi driver who used an electric baton to shock the victim in an attempt to rob him of his property, but was unsuccessful. The subject was chased by the people and left behind his motorbike and ID card in the name of Ha Minh Tam (27 years old, residing in Hoc Mon, Ho Chi Minh City).
Earlier, on the night of June 5, Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Ha (27 years old, living in Binh Thanh) went to Binh Chanh District Police to report that at around 7:30 p.m. the same day, Ms. Ha took a motorbike taxi from Hoc Mon to Binh Chanh. When arriving at 7A/119 An Ha (Hamlet 7, Pham Van Hai Commune, Binh Chanh District), the subject did not take her to the requested location but turned into an alley.

Seeing something unusual, Ms. Ha jumped out of the car, but the subject chased after her and used an electric baton to shock her, snatching her necklace and handbag.
Ms. Ha reacted and shouted for help, so the suspect left behind his motorbike and ID card with the name Ha Minh Tam and ran away on foot. Binh Chanh District Police started searching for him and were informed by Tam's family that Tam had left home for 2 weeks.
According to CAND
