A second grade student drowned while bathing in the dam.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 9, Mr. Ngo Sy Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district said that the above incident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on the afternoon of September 8 at Dong Tranh dam of the commune.

At that time, Luong Gia Bao (born 2009, student of Nghia Loc 2 Primary School), son of Luong Thi Hue, was herding buffaloes in the Dong Tranh dam area. It was hot, so he released the buffaloes and went down to bathe at the dam.

While bathing, the child drowned. Upon receiving the news, the village and commune sent officials to the dam to pull the child to shore, but it was too late.

“After the incident, we also visited, shared and encouraged the family. We also reported to the district’s Children’s Fund to share...”, Mr. Cuong said.
