Detained man who assaulted male student in Vinh city
Dang Thai Hoang, the person who assaulted a male student in Vinh city on the afternoon of February 18, is currently being detained to investigate the act of "Disturbing public order".
According to the Investigation Police Agency - Vinh City Police, the unit has issued a decision to temporarily detain Dang Thai Hoang (born in 1995), residing in Quang Trung Ward, Vinh City to investigate and clarify the act of "Disturbing public order".
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Long - Chief of Vinh City Police said his viewpoint on handling the case: "Quickly consolidate the case file, consider handling criminal responsibility of the arrogant subject, disregarding the law, life and health of the people to set an example for others".
Previously, Nghe An Newspaper reported on the assault that took place at a red light on Tran Phu Street, near Vinh City General Hospital.
Images from the clip show a man repeatedly punching a young man driving a motorbike in the face.
After the clip was widely shared on social media, the man’s actions sparked outrage in the community. Many people expressed their outrage at this violent act and asked the authorities to investigate and handle the matter promptly.
Very quickly, Quang Trung Ward Police coordinated with Vinh City Police to direct forces to conduct an investigation to clarify the incident.
