Young man detained for destroying ATM machine due to card being swallowed
A 29-year-old man went to an ATM in front of a hotel in Phu Quoc to withdraw money but his card was swallowed, so he smashed the machine's screen.
On September 16, Phu Quoc District Police (Kien Giang) are detaining Vo Minh Sang (29 years old, residing in An Thoi town, Phu Quoc district) to investigate the act of "Property destruction".

According to initial investigation, on the afternoon of September 15, Sang went to an ATM of a bank located near the gate of the Marriott hotel to withdraw money. However, when he withdrew money, the machine swallowed his card, so Sang angrily turned around and smashed the machine's screen.
According to the bank representative, in addition to the screen, the card slot and the cash slot were also damaged. The bank had to collect all the money from the ATM to ensure safety.
After the incident, Sang showed signs of causing trouble and was restrained by the police at the scene.
