Postponement of round 24 of V.League 2018 and domestic football tournaments

On September 21, the Vietnamese people were saddened by the news that President Tran Dai Quang had passed away. This is a great loss for the entire Vietnamese nation. For this reason, under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, VFF and VPF agreed to temporarily suspend football tournaments organized by VFF and VPF.

Specifically, on September 22 and 23 and the following days, according to the old plan, there will be the following tournaments: Round 24 of the 2018 V.League National Football Championship on 6 football fields nationwide; the second leg of the National Cup semi-final between B. Binh Duong and Hanoi; National First Division: Futsal tournament, National Women's Football Championship.

Thus, the matches between Song Lam Nghe An - FLC Thanh Hoa and the remaining 5 matches taking place on September 23 of round 24 of V.League 2018 will be temporarily suspended until an official make-up match schedule is available.

A member of the organizing committee of the above tournaments said that although the State has not announced a National Funeral, to show condolences and respect for President Tran Dai Quang, the organizing committee has temporarily suspended the above tournaments. The next competition plan will be calculated by VFF and VPF to ensure the general process of the entire competition system of these tournaments.
