Drunk man drowned while bathing in river

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 5:00 a.m. on September 8, the body of Mr. Lo Van Tham was found on the Lam River, at the foot of the bridge in Bai Oi village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district.

Mr. Lo Van Tham (born in 1968, residing in Lam Khe village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong) was confirmed dead while bathing in the river.

Before that, at around 11am on September 6, villagers saw Mr. Tham leading buffaloes to the village riverbank to graze, at which time many people were sitting enjoying the cool breeze and drinking alcohol.

Around 5pm, the buffalo returned home but Mr. Tham was nowhere to be seen. Mr. Tham's brother went to the river to look for him and found his clothes left on the bank.

The family and local authorities hired divers to search for Mr. Tham and were on duty at the docks from Lam Khe to Khe Ran village, Bong Khe commune. On the morning of September 8, Mr. Tham's body was found.

The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. Tham went swimming in the river while drunk and drowned.
