Always ready to serve and wait, accepting being touched or hiding adultery are requirements for flight attendants serving VIP customers.

Emilia George is a flight attendant who serves VIPs on private jets worth tens of millions of dollars. Here are the lessons she has learned after many years in the profession.

Money was never an issue

“For those who can afford a private jet, money is never an issue. VIPs flying on a private jet is like hailing a taxi,” George said.

Luxurious interior

“You can easily find pictures of a private jet on Google. But from the pictures to the reality, you will still be amazed by the luxury and opulence. Customers always demand the best quality equipment or the most modern technology.”

Challenges at work

“When you’re at 10,000 meters or on a small island in the middle of the ocean, you’re going to be in a situation where you’re lacking a lot of things. But once a customer has made a request, it’s your job to fulfill it. There have been cases where I’ve paid $500 in taxi fares just to find a can of caviar, or assembled a 200-piece band to satisfy a passenger’s wishes when they arrive.”

Accept being touched

“Some clients invite me to intimate dinners, invite me to their hotel rooms, or even touch me in sensitive areas. Some private jet owners even ask their crew to dress provocatively and sexy instead of wearing the usual airline uniforms. Either you politely decline, or you risk losing your temper with your own clients.”

The job offers many benefits.

“One of the benefits of serving VIP clients is that you get to stay in the most expensive hotels in the world, or enjoy dinner at fancy restaurants. In many cases, customers want to show their gratitude, so you will receive a generous tip.”

Waiting Game

“Unlike commercial airlines, private jets don’t have a fixed schedule. There were times when I was away for months because clients always requested the plane to be ready to depart at any time. But on the day of the flight, you waited all day and the client didn’t even show up. This meant that expensive fresh food had to be thrown away.”

Cover up affairs

“You will see that some clients travel with different women, but your job is to ignore them. Also, you need to make sure that no trace of the woman is left behind by cleaning the plane or paying attention to lipstick stains on the client’s collar.”
