Tan Ky: 13th Congress of Outstanding Children of Uncle Ho

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of April 24, 2015, the Tan Ky District Youth Union Council organized the 13th Congress of Outstanding Children of Uncle Ho.

Over the past five years, the Youth Union's activities and youth movement in Tan Ky district have achieved many remarkable accomplishments in all areas. Youth Union members throughout the district have donated and presented over 3,200 gifts and 1,215 silk shirts to families with preferential policies and families in particularly difficult circumstances; and donated and presented 2,650 sets of textbooks to poor students…

Alongside this, emulation movements for good academic performance have been actively embraced with various forms of competition such as "Good study hour, good study week," "Excellent grades," etc., contributing to improving the quality of education in schools. In addition, the youth teams actively participate in activities such as "Young people doing small things according to their abilities," including general cleaning of village roads and alleys, and promoting traffic safety.

The congress elected six delegates to attend the upcoming Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho in Nghe An province.

At the Congress, the District Youth Union Council awarded certificates of merit to 79 outstanding young members throughout the district; the District People's Committee, the District Education Promotion Association, and businesses in the area donated more than 100 gifts to poor students and students with high academic achievements, totaling nearly 20 million VND.
