Tan Ky: Area of newly planted spring sugarcane in January reached 500 hectares.
(Baonghean.vn) -In 2013, Song Con Sugar Factory had 6,800 hectares of sugarcane. Of this, 5,500 hectares were in Tan Ky district, ready for crushing, while the remaining area was in Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, and Huong Son districts of Ha Tinh province.

By January 11th, farmers in Tan Ky had planted 500 hectares of sugarcane out of the planned 1,800 hectares. The Song Con sugar factory also expanded its sugarcane planting area to Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, by 36 hectares. The spring sugarcane planting season for 2013 is expected to be completed by April 10th, 2013.
