Tan Ky: A middle school girl attempts suicide by wading into a river.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 7th, the local authorities of Nghia Binh commune, Tan Ky district, confirmed that a tragic drowning incident had occurred in the area. The victim was MTT (14 years old), residing in Hamlet 9, Nghia Binh commune.
Around 7 a.m. this morning, April 7th, several people traveling on the road near the Con River in Nghia Binh commune were startled to see a female student wearing a shirt wading into the river and struggling, gradually sinking into the water. Upon witnessing the incident, people immediately shouted for help and tried to swim out to rescue her.
The section of the Con River flowing through Nghia Binh commune (Tan Ky district) is very deep and has a strong current.
However, due to the strong current and depth of the Con River in this area, rescue efforts were very difficult. About 20 minutes later, the victim was brought ashore for emergency treatment, but it was too late as the victim had already drowned.
The victim was later identified as MTT (14 years old), residing in Hamlet 9, Nghia Binh Commune. It is known that T. was a 8th grade student at Nghia Binh Commune Secondary School, with good academic performance. Yesterday, she attended class as usual and played happily with her friends, but it is unclear why this tragic incident occurred this morning.
The family is still unclear about the reason why T. attempted suicide by wading into the river.
