Tan Ky: Increase urbanization rate to 12% by 2020

(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Decision approving the Adjustment and Supplement to the Master Plan for Socio-Economic Development of Tan Ky District to 2020, which has just been approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An Province, the urbanization rate in Tan Ky will reach from 10 to 12% by 2020.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Chairman of Tan Ky District People's Committee said: Tan Ky will accelerate the urbanization, expand and upgrade Tan Ky town as the administrative, economic, cultural, and commercial service center of the district. The town's population by 2020 will be about 13,000 - 14,000 people, reaching an urbanization rate of 10 - 12%.

In the area, there are 4 towns with approved planning: Cau Troi town, Ky Son commune; Nghia Dong town, Nghia Dong commune; Nghia Binh town, Nghia Binh commune and Giai Xuan town, Giai Xuan commune.

The district will plan 5 bus stations (1 type 3 station, 1 type 5 station and 3 type 6 stations) with a total land use area of ​​11,5000 m2.². They are: Tan Ky Town bus station, Tien Ky bus station, Nghia Hanh bus station, Nghia Dung bus station, Tan An bus station.

Regarding water sources, ensure stable water supply, collect and treat wastewater to meet environmental standards for urban areas. Upgrade Tan Ky town water plant and connect domestic water supply to Ky Tan and Ky Son communes, and build new domestic water supply for communes along Con River.

The district will build more water plants such as Nghia Hoan with a capacity of 10,000 m³/day and night in 2020; Tan An water plant reaches 3,500 m³/day and night in 2020; Tan Phu water plant reaches 3,500 m³/day and night in 2020; Nghia Binh water plant reaches 1,500 m³/day and night in 2020...

To speed up urbanization, the district prioritizes projects to upgrade and expand some inner-city routes, traffic routes into the centers of Tien Ky and Tan Hop communes, and Road 15B Lat - Nghia Hop (Tan Ky).
