(Baonghean.vn) -His family's circumstances are still difficult, he is a poor household in the commune, but when he found 12.5 million VND, Nguyen Trong Nghia - a former student of Do Luong 4 High School did not hesitate to return it to the owner.

Nguyen Trong Nghia was born in 1997 in Dai Son commune (Do Luong). Throughout his high school years, despite his family's difficult circumstances, Nghia was always a good student, studied well and was honored to be admitted to the Party when he was in grade 12.

Last May, Nghia's mother, Nguyen Thi Quyen, was attacked by a mad buffalo while herding buffalo home and was hospitalized for nearly 2 months with a total medical bill of over 100 million VND. While her friends were studying for the National High School Exam, Nghia and his father had to scramble to find money to treat and care for his mother.

Seeing his mother lying on the hospital bed, feeling sorry for his father working hard in the fields, Nghia was determined to take the entrance exam to the People's Police University of Technology and Logistics to help his mother pay her tuition. While taking care of his mother and studying hard, he passed the entrance exam to the school of his dreams.

On September 12, Nghia took the Khanh Quynh bus to transfer his Party documents to the university. He found a wallet. He opened it and saw a lot of money and documents. Without having time to count how much there was, Nghia immediately called the bus hotline and reported it to the company to return it to the owner.

Thanks to that, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dai in Hamlet 10, Hien Son Commune (Do Luong) - the person who lost his wallet, received all the documents and 12.5 million VND. Mr. Dai said: "I am really happy to receive all the money and documents back. I admire Nghia even more when I offered him money as a reward but he refused."

Talking about his actions, Nghia shared: "It's not my money so I didn't take it. Besides, the person who lost it would be very worried. That money must be very important to them."

Mr. Dang Ba Hao - head of hamlet 10, Dai Son commune said: "In the hamlet, Nghia is also a very obedient, gentle person and actively participates in local activities. Although the family's circumstances are very difficult, his mother was gored by a mad buffalo and had to be hospitalized for several months, Nghia still returned a large amount of money he found. We will set an example for Nghia in hamlet meetings so that everyone knows and follows."
